to the National Association of Property Recovery Investigators,
Inc. Our association is dedicated to the professionalism of persons
who are involved in the investigation of property crime.
Membership is open to all law enforcement, insurance industry and
corporate loss prevention personnel. Members include federal, state,
and local agents, police officers, deputy sheriff's, crime against
property investigators, pawn shop detectives, general assignment
investigators, anti-fencing units, investigators /regulators of
firearms, regulatory specialist, burglary detectives, theft investigators,
police permits officers, military investigators, license bureau
personnel, record clerks, computer services personnel, crime analysts,
civilian officers, insurance industry, corporate loss prevention
investigators, legislative personnel and prosecutors.
Our association believes in an open professional dialogue with all
industries. We work closely with all groups to solve problems and
to come up with viable solutions.
This organization provides training seminars on topics to include:
burglary, theft, dealing in stolen property investigations, jewelry,
cellular phones, and computer identification, property crime stings,
pawnshop/secondhand dealers regulations and inspections, felons
and firearm investigations, cyber-theft, identity theft investigations,
police computer property recovery systems, retail organized crime
and all types of topics that are related to property crime investigations.
With over 25 years experience as a law enforcement officer and trainer
in Florida, including 15 years assigned to the criminal investigations
section as a property crime investigator. I believe law enforcement
can do a better job by building partnerships with the insurance
industry and the corporate loss prevention communities.
Our association along with the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau
of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives presents an annual
National Property Crime Investigations Conference. Make your plans
